The Virtual and Physical space
The charity Kolibri CARF (Chldren at Risk Foundation) is chosen as a case for this course with participants from both visual communication and furniture/interior space designers.
The title refers to the contemporary discussion on space the networked society, and the phenomena of charities, small NGOs, activist-groups who have the possibility to participate in global networks of similar groups.
The targets of this course are:
Provide the students an understanding of the relation between shape, space, function and presentation. Interpretation of a certain space programme – physically and virtually – to explore limitations and opportunities of the situation.
Provide a holistic understanding of a case. Understand a project in a holistic perspective, and see the relations with other subjects.
Learn to work in team with other subject groups to achieve a common superior goal.
